----------------------------------- JEFF WINS SIXTH FEATURE OF SEASON AT HIBBING!!! August 18, 2008 --- The Jeff Provinzino Racing team captured their sixth win of the 2008 racing season on Saturday night, August 16 at the nearby Hibbing Raceway in Hibbing, Minnesota! Jeff Provinzino started sixth in the WISSOTA-sanctioned main event and charged to the front to record the victory. A night later, Jeff finished a strong runner-up at the Proctor Speedway in Proctor, Minnesota. Earlier in the four-race weekend, the #28 team was in action in a pair of WISSOTA Challenge Series events at the North Central (MN) Speedway (August 14) and the Superior (WI) Speedway (August 15). Jeff finished twelfth in the $2,000 to win show on Thursday at Brainerd, while he wound up twentieth in the $3,000 to win A-Main at Superior on Friday. ----------------------------------- #28 TEAM INVADES SUPERIOR & HIBBING! August 11, 2008 --- Jeff Provinzino and his #28 Dirt Late Model team traveled to the Superior Speedway in Superior, Wisconsin and the Hibbing Raceway in Hibbing, Minnesota over the August 8-9 weekend. Jeff unfortunately failed to finish the feature event on Friday night, August 8 at Superier and wound up twentieth in the final rundown. On Saturday evening at Hibbing, double features were held and Jeff finished thirteenth in the first main event and ninth in the second A-Main. ----------------------------------- PROVINZINO BUSY AT SUPERIOR & CEDAR LAKE August 4, 2008 --- The Jeff Provinzino Racing team invaded the Superior Speedway in Superior, Wisconsin and the Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin from July 30-August 2. Jeff Provinzino finished twenty-fourth in the $5,000 to win WDRL race at Superior (July 30) and twenty-sixth in the $5,000 to win WDRL event at Cedar Lake (July 31). The ultra-busy weekend was capped off with the running of the annual 'USA Nationals' on Friday and Saturday, August 1-2 at Cedar Lake. Unfortunately, Jeff was not able to transfer his #28 entry into the $50,000 to win main event after running eighth in his heat race and tenth in his B-Main. ----------------------------------- #28 TEAM COMPETES IN TRIPLEHEADER WEEKEND! July 28, 2008 --- Jeff Provinzino and his #28 Dirt Late Model team invaded three venues in Wisconsin and Minnesota last weekend for a trio of events. On Friday night, July 25, Jeff finished tenth in a $2,000 to win AMSOIL Series race at the ABC Raceway in Ashland, Wisconsin. In a similar show on Saturday at the Hibbing Raceway in Hibbing, Minnesota, Jeff wound up twenty-second in the final rundown. The ultra-busy weekend concluded on Sunday with Twin 25s at the Proctor Speedway in Proctor, Minnesota. Jeff ran second in the first 25-lap affair, while he finished thirteenth in the nightcap. |
